Hypnotherapy

I am a highly experienced, intelligent and practical hypnotherapist, but first and foremost, I am a therapist just like a counsellor or psychotherapist, and what I like to do, is borrow and adopt all their tools, techniques and skills! This means I have a huge arsenal of therapy tools I bring to sessions with my clients to help them overcome their presenting issues. My job is to help people become the best versions of themselves, and I am constantly reading and updating my training in order to do this.

I have been doing this for several years and have helped hundreds of clients overcome stress, overwhelm, anxiety, insomnia and depression. I often help people overcome bad habits, fears and phobias.

I use hypnotherapy, but only as one tool in my toolbox. I often run an entire session with someone in a relaxed state of hypnosis, but sometimes, I use no hypnosis at all. The beauty of what I do is no two sessions are ever the same, and the beauty of ‘people’ is, in all these years, no two clients have ever been the same either!

It’s so expensive…

90% of my clients have had therapy before; whether that is CBT, counselling or psycho-therapy. The thing I hear time and time again, is it was useful as in they have a better understanding of what they’re doing and even why they’re doing it…BUT they are still doing it. These clients have been in therapy for 1 – 5 years and spent thousands. Therefore, being with me for 6 or 12 or even 16 sessions, is far less expensive, if (and you will) get the same result.

What About CBT or Counselling?

If you go to your GP, you will probably get some free CBT therapy. This is a short, practical therapy using worksheets and methods to help you realise how the things you are telling yourself aren’t necessarily true. It will help you re-frame which is great.

I too, like to use some CBT therapy into my sessions, but I have found that CBT or counselling alone doesn’t always work – certainly not in the long run. There is deeper work to be done and a nudge to the sub-conscious if you’re after real and lasting change.
