Hypnotherapy for Leadership, Performance and Public Speaking in London and Online
Great leaders are not fearless. They are regulated. When your nervous system is steady, you think more clearly, speak more naturally and recover faster when things go wrong.
This could help if…
- Your mind goes blank in presentations or important meetings
- You rehearse difficult conversations for days and still avoid them
- You are the one everyone relies on, and you are running on empty
- Imposter syndrome gets louder the higher you climb
- You freeze, over-explain or over-prepare when you are being judged
- You want to lead with more calm, presence and authority
If so, you are not alone, and it is not a life sentence.
Performance is a nervous system issue
When we feel threatened, the thinking part of the brain goes quiet. That is why the words disappear when you stand up to speak, or why you snap at a colleague when you are overloaded. Willpower and preparation help, but they cannot override a body that believes it is in danger.
I spent my twenties in news and current affairs, so I know what it is to deliver under pressure and to a deadline. I also know what it costs, and that the people who look most composed are often the ones working hardest to hold it together.
What we work on
Sessions are tailored to what you are facing. Common themes include public speaking and presenting, difficult conversations, decision-making under pressure, managing a team, imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and the exhaustion that comes from being permanently on.
We use hypnosis, breathwork, EFT and body-based tools informed by Polyvagal Theory to help you regulate on demand, and then rehearse the situations that matter, in trance, until your mind and body have a new template. We also look at the beliefs that drive the pressure, such as ‘I must never make a mistake’ or ‘I have to prove myself’.
Calm, clear and still yourself
The goal is not to turn you into someone smoother or louder. It is to help you communicate with natural confidence, as yourself, with a nervous system that is on your side. Many clients find the impact shows up well beyond work, in sleep, relationships and general wellbeing.
What to expect
We start with a free 15-minute consultation to talk through what is going on and whether I can help. Sessions last one hour to an hour and a half, at my clinic in Brixton (500m from the tube, overlooking Brockwell Park) or online via Zoom. Most clients notice a shift within two to three sessions and work with me for six to twelve in total. Clinical hypnotherapy is nothing like stage hypnosis: you stay awake, aware and in control throughout. Read more about sessions and fees or about me.
Frequently asked questions
Can you help with a specific event, like a big presentation?
Yes. Some clients come for a few focused sessions ahead of a specific event, while others use the time for deeper work on confidence and pressure. We will agree a plan in your free consultation.
Is this coaching or therapy?
A bit of both. I am a clinical hypnotherapist and self-development coach, so we can combine practical tools with work on the deeper patterns that are driving the pressure.
Is it confidential?
Yes, completely. Sessions are private, and online sessions via Zoom can fit around a busy diary.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goal. Most clients start to notice a difference within two to three sessions, and on average people work with me for six to twelve.
